At the heart of SAFE is a passionate team of advocates, trainers, volunteers and survivors who believe deeply in the transformative power of service dogs. Our board brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, mental health advocacy, and canine training. Some of the staff are survivors themselves so they understand the journey to wellness and are passionate about what we do! We are hands on from the very beginning, breeding and raising puppies and matching our German Shepherds with program participants. Our team shares a commitment to healing, empowerment, and authentic connection. Together we’re not just running a program, we’re building a community of resilience.
